Michigan Man Charged With Felonious Assault After Golf Course Attack

A 59-year-old man is charged with felonious assault after attacking another golfer with a 5 iron on the 12th hole of an Oakland County golf course.

Glenn Lott was arraigned Friday in Rochester Hills District Court and ordered to stay away from golf courses along with a $100,000 bond.

According to the Oakland County sheriff’s office a 65-year-old West Bloomfield man was struck across the arm Thursday with a golf club during an argument over scoring at the Westwynd Golf Course in Oakland Township, north of Detroit.

The man was also stabbed in the arm with the jagged edge of the broken club.

Lott was later arrested at his Oakland Township home. He will appear next in court on Tuesday.

Friday’s court records had no indication of a defense attorney present for Lott.
