undefinedMichigan Assault Lawyer Brian J. Prain of Prain Law, PLLC Voted Michigan's Top 10 Criminal Defense Attorneys Under 40 by the National Academy of Criminal Defense Attorneys (NACDA) in 2014.

Facing an Assault charge in Michigan? Are you looking for a Michigan Assault lawyer? Some attorneys handle all types of criminal cases, in addition to divorces, wills, and other things. We call them "general practitioners." But as a Michigan Assault lawyer, Brian J. Prain concentrates specifically on defending Michigan Assault charges. In November, 2014, Michigan Assault lawyer Brian J. Prain was voted one of the "Top 10 Under 40" Michigan Criminal Defense attorneys. This announcement came on the heels of a big NOT GUILTY verdict the same month for the Michigan Assault lawyer.

In 2013, Brian J. Prain was also 1 of only 55 trial lawyers nationwide selected to attend famed attorney Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers College 3-week program in Wyoming.

Brian J. Prain had the following to say about being called one of the Top 10 Criminal Defense Attorneys Under 40 out of thousands in Michigan:

"I feel extremely honored. There are literally thousands of young, hardworking Criminal Defense Attorneys out there fighting for their clients rights every day - some of them I know, some I don't. But to be honored as amongst the 'Top 10' in this vast group of Constitutional warriors is both an honor and an inspiration for my future work - something to live up to. If anything has helped me, I believe it is being what I call a Michigan Assault lawyer. Having a very specific concentration within Criminal Defense, not unlike those distinct 'Drunk Driving lawyers.' They have the best experience and get the best results because they've handled that case over and over again. They are 'experts.'

I have done what I believe nobody has done before in Criminal Defense - I've become a Michigan Assault lawyer and simply applied those same principles of focused concentration to cases involving an element of Assault. There is no shortage of lawyers calling themselves "Michigan Assault Lawyer" in their blogs and Google results, but if you look harder, you'll see that they also have an identical page calling themselves 'Michigan Shoplifting Attorney' and 'Michigan DUI Attorney.' Search those phrases, too, and watch the same lawyers come up. That's somewhat misleading in my opinion - falsely allowing consumers to believe they "specialize" in Assault cases, when they do not - they just have a website up for each type of crime.

Here's an experiment you should try if you're facing a Michigan Assault charge of any type: call a lawyer whose name comes up when you Google 'Michigan Assault Lawyer.' As them these questions: 'What is a 768.27b Notice in a Michigan Domestic Violence charge, and how could it apply to my case?'; 'What does Michigan law on Past Violence by the Complainant or Decedent?' - HINT: if they say you can't use it because it's "character," they're wrong; or 'Can I call character witnesses if the Prosecutor doesn't introduce 404(b) evidence against me?'

If that 'Michigan Assault lawyer' can't give a snappy and knowledgeable answer to those types of questions, you might not be getting the best. Honestly, these things mean the difference between Guilty and NOT GUILTY. Between taking a case to Jury and being COMPLETELY ACQUITTED versus some unfit lawyer telling you how you should take some cruddy "deal" the Prosecution is offering and going to Jail or doing Probation and having a "record."

In short, I owe a great deal of my success to my concentration as a Michigan Assault lawyer, and I thank my family, friends, clients and colleagues for their undying support."
